Who we are
bogl.ai is run by Aingaran Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 07432672), registered office 27 Old Gloucester Street, London, England, WC1N 3AX. Aingaran Limited is the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: info@bogl.ai.
What we collect and why
- Website addresses you check, and the results. To run the check, show your results and stop abuse. Results describe websites. If a website names a person (for example a sole trader's name or address), that public information can appear in the result. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in providing the service you asked for.
- Your email address, if you ask us to email your result. To send you the link. Lawful basis: providing the service you asked for. We keep the address in our contact list (Wix), not with the check results.
- Marketing emails, only if you tick the box. Occasional emails about bogl.ai. Lawful basis: your consent. Before we send any, we ask you to confirm by email, so nobody can sign you up without your knowledge. You can withdraw consent at any time with the unsubscribe link or by emailing us. We keep a record of when you consented.
- Payment and order details, if you buy. Payments are taken by Wix Payments; we never see or store your card details. We keep order records because UK tax law requires it.
- A one-way code made from your IP address. To limit how many checks, emails, share images and sharing changes one connection can request. We store a keyed hash, not the IP address itself. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the service available and preventing abuse.
- Monitoring subscriptions. If you subscribe to monthly monitoring, we keep the website address you chose, your plan order number from Wix, your Wix contact and member account (for your email address and login), and each month's check results. We use them to run the checks, show your monitoring page and email you each update. Lawful basis: to perform our contract with you. Wix handles your login and card details; we never see your password or card.
The AI search test in the full report
For a paid report we send short facts from the checked website (its name, page title, description, headings and any address it publishes) to Anthropic, the maker of the Claude AI model, which runs a few web searches and returns the results to us. Anthropic acts as our processor under its commercial terms, which don't allow it to train its models on this data and limit how long it keeps it. We don't send your email address or payment details.
Who processes data for us
- Wix.com Ltd: website hosting, database, contacts, emails we send, and payments (Wix Payments).
- Google (Workspace): our email inbox, if you write to us.
- Anthropic: the AI search test in paid reports (see above).
- Cloudflare: looks up the address of the website you ask us to check (website name only).
To check a website we also look it up in public datasets (Common Crawl and Wikidata), sending only the website or business name. We don't sell your data.
International transfers
Wix, Google, Anthropic and Cloudflare may process data outside the UK, including in the USA and Israel. Where they do, the transfer is covered by UK adequacy regulations (including the UK–US data bridge for certified companies) or by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to standard contractual clauses in their data processing terms.
How long we keep it
- Free check results and full reports: 12 months, then deleted automatically.
- Records of email requests (hashed, with no email address): 30 days.
- Records of share-image requests and sharing changes (hashed IP only): 1 day.
- Your email address and marketing choice: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
- Monitoring results: 12 months after each check. Your monitoring record: 12 months after your subscription ends (a sign-up that is never paid: 7 days).
- Order records: 6 years, as UK tax law requires.
